So that's the spec they recommend, to play with all settings on max i presume lol.
The "Minimum System Requirements for the Beta" have been changed on the official site into "Minimum System Requirements", so you can still play without the recomended specc.
Lol i never thought they would come with a recomended requirement so high as the "i7 or higher"... what is higher than i7?

WTH?!

You need an i7, 4Gigs of RAM, and a GTX 460? Posted Image

Where am I going to find the money for a new build?!??! Posted Image

That's pretty much top of the line... They even mention a SSD....

On the bright side, I guess FFXIV's graphics wont be "outdated" for years.

I think Kurisu said it best in the shout box: I'm glad I'm getting this for PS3. They are crazy to expect these kind of specs, whew.

This lol! I'll play on my PC which is somewhere between the minimum and recommended specs then switch to PS3 later lol.

4 GBs!? Well I'm out to the PS3 version for me then. Hey I can run it on minimum but... -_- really don't want to. Guess I'll upgrade the laptop next year and just buy the PC version then.

I'm with Kurisu's status message, I am so glad that I'll be getting this game on my PS3 (if I do actually get it that is) but I'm hopeing that the game will still look as great on the console. I may have to splash out on a bigger tv (or atleast a widescreen) when I can mannage to get another job so it looks the best it when I am playing. I just hope my internet connecti is good enough now~

But anyway~~~ A 6 month wait isn't looking to bad now is it! It's no wonder they can't fit this beast of a game onto the PS3 just yet.

The recommended settings are what you need to run the game on high. It does not surprise me that it is so high as it was the same thing for FFXI. My PC for that game could not even run it when it launched it was so poor.
For most people you'll need to be looking at the minimum specs, if you can run the game with that you're going to be fine.
Sure you won't be dazzled to the max, but that's what happens when a game is made for the future. Same thing happened with EQ2, the game even had a warning on it that some PCs would not be able to run it. It only took 2 years for the world to catch up to the game, technology just moves so fast. I ran EQ2 in the first year with many graphical settings turned off but I ran it just fine and got prettier over time. : P

I meet the minimum specs and I am not worried. Take that as you will. Posted Image
