Straight from ESRB:

Rating: Teen

Content descriptors: Alcohol Reference, Animated Blood, Language, Suggestive Themes, Violence

Rating summary:

This is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) in which players navigate a large cast of characters that engage in missions and fight the forces of evil. Players explore environments (e.g., cities, plains, caves) and battle human and fantasy creatures. Players use swords, spears, axes, firearms, and magic spells (e.g., fire balls, energy beams) to defeat enemies in real-time combat. Cutscenes depict a man being stabbed from behind, and creatures emitting splashes of purple or yellow blood when struck. Some female characters are depicted from low camera angles, with lingering camera views of their buttocks (i.e., up-skirt shots). Dialogue contains suggestive references; for example, "The netmaster's probably up in his office polishing the mast just thinking about her," "stick yer manhood in the forge," and "You cheating little whore!" Several characters are referred to as drunk or drunken, while others sometimes talk about wine, rum, and grog. The word "sh*t" can be heard in the dialogue.

"Stick yer manhood in the forge!" should be Beyond Vanadiel's new slogan.

is there even a point to putting a rating on an Online game? wow is rated T but you can read people in the zone chat adding sexual innuendo to in game content. it would be better to rate the Game O for online with an extra warning saying "parents should be warned other players can purposefully or accidentally say to your children things you deem inappropriate". that being said yay cursing and drinking like the setting should have! also be noted being an anime watcher i am desensitized to panty shots yohohohohoho!

Well, online games do come with a disclaimer saying that "your game experience may change with online play."

So they have the rating there to show what the game actually contains, and the disclaimer covers the online userbase aspect.

I agree, the disclaimer makes it so the player chat isn't used against them with ESRB, but the rating still needs to be there. AoC for example had a M rating and STILL had the disclaimer! Ratings are there for parents and censorship :P (M rating requiring 17 years of age) It was a good year when I turned 17...I'm such a dork I think 17 is bigger for me than 18 and 21 Posted Image
The amount of fun you have with a slinky is proportional to the amount of stairs you have.
Given an escalator, slinkys will give you infinite fun!

im well aware of the warning that they currently have but i feel it is not an accurate warning more of a "you cant sue us because its online" notice . maybe the rating system should be for MMOs have the addition box like a second rating saying its online some way to make the warning noticeable. i rather have the parents whom blame everything on what their kids watch and play and not on themselves for not making boundaries be informed now then have another Hot Coffee moment (I still dont get why that was a big deal its grand theft auto why the hell would you buy a game for a 7 year old named after a crime).
Yoohohohohoo!
