Another interesting video from the official Final Fantasy XIV YouTube Channel with further details on character creation and the development of character movements through the use of motion capture.

In other news:

The ESRB rating summary is particularly humorous when describing dialogue containing suggestive references with such gems as "the netmaster's probably up in his office polishing the mast just thinking about her" and "stick yer manhood in the forge."

Be sure to check the link above for the full rating summary and more!

Anyone else notice Baba say, "....five races that will be available to players on release." That mean possible more races!!!! (YES! OF COURSE!) ;D

That was an interesting video! I like seeing the motion capture at work, very fun to perform and then see in the game I bet.

Hopefully we get more dialogue like that as well, that's pretty funny! :D

Elezen, Roegadyn, Lalafell, Hyur, and Miqo'te. That's THE five races... But nice being hopeful. XD Baba also said each race was based on a race from FFXI. So unless they plan on adding some former Beastmen as playable races, I don't think there'll be any more than the afore listed five. :(

XD I did find the motion capture very interesting. And the fact that there's SIXTY emotes, so far...?! omg. I'm loving the idea of unique facial expressions with each emote, as compared to the dead lifeless look to the faces of FFXI. Although since you were rarely close up, it didn't matter so much.

In a game like FFXIV and FFXI adding races wouldn't be a huge deal... since one character can be everything, not too many people will drop their main character just to be a new race :( I think thats why FFXI focused on adding new classes and never new races.
