Atlus has taken their first step into high-definition gaming in the latest issue of Famitsu with the announcement of Catherine, an action adventure game for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 with a horror/adult-themed twist.

Not much is known about the game as of yet. However, the main visual in the Famitsu reveal showcases a nearly naked woman spreading her legs apart. Apparently, key Persona staff are working on it. Persona 4 director Katsura Hashino is producing and directing the game while Naruki Fukushima is doing character design and Masahi Meguro is composing.

Something tells me that this game won't be releasing outside of Japan!

OMG this looks awesome.

I will be buying this day 1.

As you all know I love persona and its art/style. Also I love horror and naked ladies.

I'm not much for horror as a general rule of thumb I may make exceptions though, depends how graphic things become. This looks more interesting to me then Persona though.

Unfortunately I've never played Persona, although I'd like to give it a try at some point.

Anyway...

Bump! The Japanese box art for the game has been revealed, and the PS3 and 360 packages are both different. The PS3 box art has an image of Catherine, while the 360 version has an image of Katherine. Yes, Catherine and Katherine. How confusing is this game going to be! The main character, Vincent, is featured on both.

This will definitely be coming outside Japan. It's produced by the Persona people, right?
If Atlus is at the helm, you can bet it'll make it's way to the US very soon.

I'm looking forward to it.

Has anybody played the Catherine demo? It seems like a very unique game with the way that it switches between puzzles and animated story telling.

I wouldn't get it either. The puzzles are supposed to get quite hard later on in the game and I don't think I would have the patience with it! But as demo's go, it was alright.

Just bought a cool shirt based on this game. It has a bunch of sheep men falling down the front of the shirt.\

Still want to play the game.. just need the right price, and the English version so I can perfectly understand the wacky story.
