I've been unemployed for awhile now.. I graduated college over month ago and am now wondering where to go next. It's getting really uncomfortable at home and it feels like there are zero options for me.. :(
Thinking about taking what little cash I have and heading somewhere new.

How are you guys surviving out there? How is everyone making money?
What job do you have now, and how did you happen upon it?
I'm still unemployed, though I've recently applied at several places I'm not proud about..
Maybe I've been unemployed so long, I'm losing myself. Does anyone have any tips about getting a good job and making money? I'd really just like to keep a full time job for about 3 months or so so I can take some steps toward my goals.. But how do I do it?

Honestly, I will be a bit scared to go back to America if things don't improve before then.
As for my job, I teach English as an ALT in elementary schools and junior high schools. Before that I taught at two different language schools teaching English primarily to adults.
I am Goblin.

Without companionship, a dive alone is costly and uncertain...
I think you should go for it, for exactly that reason! You've been where you are for half of your life.. It's time to experience something new! Take risks, find failure, and learn lessons!... But I think this will be a positive move for you!

Slightly before getting this job, I moved into a house that a friend owns. Thankfully they were generous enough to let me stay until I found a new job which pretty much forced me to go out everyday and try to find something quick. I was pretty fortunate to land this job as quick as I did (about a month).
Momo (or pretty much anyone that's looking for a job), have you tried temp agencies around your area? The job I have right now I happen to run into through a temp agency though my position is pretty much permanent. How does your resume look? From my experience w/ agencies, they have you come in, some will give you a test depending on the type of work you're looking for (in my case, they gave me data entry skills test like typing, MS Office knowledge etc) and then someone would give you a quick interview usually involving going over your resume, your previous jobs and asking for your availability.
I know it's hard but I think the most important thing is persistence. I know exactly how you feel since I've been living at home for a very long time until just recently and was feeling very depressed thinking that I wouldn't be going anywhere. Best of luck! (And I totally should be in bed by now... have work in a few hours >.> )

So yeah.. I might just twiddle my thumbs some more, not like I don't keep busy at home, but I wouldn't mind a job where I could meet more people and have my own 'thing' going. ;D
