Hahahaha. Great reason. But in all seriousness, I like AMD because of their affordable pricing and their great marketing strategies. I remember when Intel tried to make the first 8 core processor, but only 6 worked, so they threw them all out and wasted a lot of money. AMD pretty much did the same, but instead of throwing everything away, they marketed it as a Hex core processor. In terms of reliability and performance, I think both companies are almost identical. However, I love the Intel commercials. They make me want to work for Intel when I graduate lol.

I do not strictly go for either I will look around and see whats available. However most have been AMD as they are cheaper. I go for affordability rather then the best of the best.

To be honest i would not know, my pc has an Intel processor (i7 extreem edttion or sumting) and a AMD GPU (HD5850) , so as long they keep compatible with each other i dont see the problem. And yeah yeah some people are fan of or Nvidia or ATI, but i would not give a darn as long as they do their work.
