At this year's CESA Developers Conference in Japan, designers Keiichi Baba and Seiya Ishii offered an in-depth look at the steps that went into the creation of character and equipment models. Their creation process allows them to easily customize a single model's colors and textures, as well as add/remove/adjust certain portions with ease.

Translation?

It allows for many variations of the same character/equipment model while simultaneously reducing the amount of data/resources needed to process them.

That last picture of the Miqu'te looks great! I looks like the armour fits her rather then being one-size-fits-all or just skin tight :)

This thread is a bit lonely.

:onion58:

I really enjoy this sort of thing, but perhaps I'm in the minority.

Yep, we prolly all like them. maybe thre are not much reactions because it was something already made known by SE. OMG that is what is going to make crafting so much fun ^^ like for example the hat with the flower on it, i wonder if we will have to pick them up and use them along with the other mats during the crafting ^^
OMG, maybe... would be even posible to make dresses adorned with flowers too ^^

Yeah, I am quite excited by the seamlessly endless amount of equipment/crafting possibilities. I look forward to giving it all a go.
