Howdy Ya'll,

Stumbled upon this site via google and figured I would register and introduce myself. I am from Ohio, if you couldn't guess from the title, and I played FFXI for a few years before quitting due to real life issues.

I played FFXI for 3 years from release and then took a hiatus due to real life issues. When I came back my server was basically dead so I decided to quit for good. About a week ago I was missing the game again and was looking up a leveling guide for FFXI to see if it was possible to level yourself nowadays and found out FFXIV was coming out this month! 30 minutes and $90 later I had a collectors edition FFXIV en route.

I wanted to reacquaint myself with the feeling of community that I got from FFXI, and that WoW severely lacked, so I figured I would toss myself into the community here and attempt to have a nice set of people to join the game with. If you guys are starting some community driven Linkshells count me in!

Anywho, thanks for such a site and I hope to be a contributing member of the community here...if I can ever get into the open beta :)

The Buckeyes are basically a religion around here. If I wasn't a fan I probably would have been burnt at the stake by now.

Update - I was finally able to get into the beta. Second update is working on 26 hours...the suspense will be almost unbearable.
