I've tried almost every class and job, I'm really, really into being a Pugilist. I just figured out how to add my abilities and saw that I had a total of 4.

There is one called Haymaker from what it says on the description, Is this more of a counter move?
The ability that gives you a short defensive buff is pretty cool as well..

Wondering if anyone with a higher level can breakdown each ability..

Thanks

You use it after evading an attack, yes. It's quite good, too.

I will be adding full ability lists to the site at some point in the (somewhat) near future, but perhaps someone else can help you out a bit in the meantime.

Lv6 - Second Wind
The thrill of battle exhilarates you, restoring HP.
Cast time 0
Recast time 60
Tp cost 250

Any lvl 6 pugs out there? I have a question about this ability. Looks good and i may get it as a cross-class.

Is is a Heal over time? Large or Small Heal? Fixed or % of health? Be use by Disciples of War or Puglist only?

Thanks.

i had a pugilist as first character in the closed beta, but the only thing i can say to your question is, that it's no heal over time, just a certain amount of hp that will get healed at once. i guess the amount of health gained will depend on how much MND you have, rather than how many hp you got in total. And i don't know if it's crossclass, but probably yes

From my experiance,

On paper the skill sounds much nicer then in reality. Either a) I'm missing something or B) I'm well past the "cap" for this skill.

On level 10 Pug this skill heals me for 100 hp

On level 10 Conj this skill heals me for 100 hp

On level 10 Pug with max VIT this skill heals me for 100 hp

On level 10 Pug with max MND this skill heals me for 100 hp

On level 10 Conj with whatever random configured stats I had at the moment. this skill heals for 100

I may be wrong but if i remember correctly the cooldown was SLIGHTLY longer when subbed vs on Pug main. Great skill to have but with over 1minute for reuse its actual usability is somewhat limited. (1 minute on pug 1 minute + change when subbed)

Also keep in mind that when taking a serious beating this skill does NOT fire off much faster than cure which heals for 200 hp for me (subbed as well)

In the end, It will help mitigate between fight times but wont provide much ability to being able to take down xxxxx mob. Cure on the other hand takes MP but has a 3/5 second recast and has 1 less point requirement to equip.

thats weird, Second Wind healed me for 134 at lvl 6! I love Pugilist so far and I was able to take out an IT Mole by spamming light strike (and crying to my mommy)
The amount of fun you have with a slinky is proportional to the amount of stairs you have.
Given an escalator, slinkys will give you infinite fun!

Hmm maybe it was 150 not 100. I was going off of memmory. i'll double check tonight if i get a chance. The thing I DO know for sure is that it was the same ammount every time for each situation and it was less then Cure. Maybe someone can figure out what im missing as I would assume something modifies this ammount. I like the skill and use it on all my jobs, I just usually end up using cure a LOT more :/ Even on jobs with 0 MP regen.

Also the moles are really easy. I usually spam heavy strike, when they burrow just run away. If your far enough away when they pop up you take no damage. Then run back in and punch em in the face a couple more times rinse and repeat and there dead.

well, the mole was doing 70-80 damage with normal attacks and I was only rank 3 :P so it wasn't the digging it was just the toughness of the mob itself :D

I believe I found out what determines the healing of Second Wind! It's your weapon. my SW was doin 192, then suddenly my Hora went to half durability and SW started doing 140 (AND I just leveled up) so I believe the quality of your weapon, and its durability (when at half all your abiltiies take a hit) will determine its strength.

Hmmm that could be it. To be honest I dont even know the durability of his weapon. Thats something I should check. If its based off weapon that would explain why my Vit and Mnd stats didnt affect it at all.

Mnd doesn't affect healing spells anymore according to the game, and I have NO IDEA what happened, it went from 200 at lvl 6 to 150 at lvl 9 :X so...I have no idea :(
