So... the last couple months have been hectic to say the least. Work, weddings and funerals took up a lot of time, but not as much as me getting addicted to FFXI again. And as soon as I started playing it on my laptop, low and behold errors crop up left and right. I have it working again, but it's going to be laid to rest soon which put me in the market for a PC.
After searching around through various sellers (Alienware, Digital Storm, etc) for a Desktop, I decided that since I am a computer science major I should attempt to make my own. Well... I'll let you know how that goes as the components I ordered come in tomorrow. ^^;
Anyways, I should be able to play FFXIV at launch! Yay!

Welcome back! make sure you check out the server polls for FFXIV 
(Wutai o.0) I'm happy about my laptop, its able to run FFXIV amazingly! And the graphics take my breath away, the ferry to and from Limsa is very enjoyable. My friend commented that the sky looks really well made too

Yeah, I'll put a vote in for Selbina, I wanna play something from either FFXI or FFIX as my server. I really wish they'd add Alexandria!
As for the graphics, I hope my PC will be able to run them so they are amazing. If not I'll pick up another graphics card to SLi. Or Crossfire. Graphics means a lot to me in an MMO.
Finally, something I forgot to mention in my original post, I will be gaming for 24 hours for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. If you are interested in helping out, please donate. ^^ I will probably be broadcasting my 24 hours of gaming for everyone to watch.

Anyways my PC components came in, and here are the specs of my rig!

I should be good to play now, though I'm sitting in class for another 3 hours...

if you are playing open beta, im on Palamecia with either Vanblod Drakkeneye or Dalkor Dracor (I like dragons...)

I got 1800 and I run the game nearly on full blast xD I don't get the thing at all. 4400 should be amazing
