Hi guys,

I just got in the game, and I am haveing issue with movement. I can not change my settings to use arrow keys as my movement keys. I have NEVER been able to use WASD or anything else in any game I have ever played, and I NEED to use arrow movement keys or the game is completely unplayable for me. When I got to the settings in game, it refuses to let me change the settings from the default movement keys. Is there any way to get the arrow keys to work, or am I totally shafted on ever playing this game?

Well, for all i know it's not possible to change the default settings of the keyboard. Maybe they'll allow it at some time, but you should a) learn to walk with wasd or b ) get a gamepad (which works better anyway :))

of course there would be option c) stop playing the game, but that would be a real pity, since the game is really nice and the thing with the controlls isn't really a problem once you get accustomed to it. Plus you wouldn't have wasted your money... Think about it ;-)

Hello kirsten, there is an alternativ solution which is to use the numeric keypad, the 8 for going forward, the 2 key for going backward etc etc . It might be helpfull for you ...

In addition, just get used to holding 'W' then hitting 'R'. This will make you autorun forward, and you can right click your mouse to move. If you've played WoW, it's similar to holding both mouse keys. The only way to stop then is to hit 'S' (for stop =P). This is at least how I play lol.

pick up a wired xbox 360 controller, install the drivers from the xbox website and use that.

they Did make the controls using the keyboard and mouse WAY better than during beta, so it feels more natural for us who have played other PC games in general (WASD for character movement, and using the mouse for camera movement) but the Xbox controller just makes this game feel more comfortable if you're only used to playing on consoles =)

i actually thought about switching back to KB and mice since now it just feels that much better. i still hate hitting the (home) button to bring up the main menu though.

I went out and bought a gamepad today, so I will see if that helps.

I have to say though that this is at the least a bit annoying. Every other game in the history of MMOs offers this an an option, the fact that it was overlooked is a bit of a letdown.

Any chance we can get a hotfix on this issue?

Isn't the keyboard adjustable through the in-game Configuration settings? Seems like it.

Yeah.. it is. They unlocked keyboard customization in the release version, so this shouldn't be an issue.
