I am about to purchase this computer on eBay. Any help is very much appreciated! In case you don't want to click on the link here's are the specs on the computer. And it costs $430 shipped for the tower. Thank you!

Honestly I wouldn't recommend this computer specifically for FF14. It's "not" bad, but I wouldn't expect any high end gaming. This machine would probably be ok to run older games like WoW, but would really struggle with newer games (Aion, FF14, Crysis). What is your price range ? I could probably point you in the direction of a better build, or if you know which end of a screwdriver is which I could probably help you find the parts to build one yourself.
Why punctuation is important:
i help my friend jack off a horse
Versus
I helped my friend, Jack, off a horse.

I want to buy a pre built one from this company online. My brother bought from them and really likes his computer. Is this worth the additional 130 dollars? http://cgi.ebay.com/...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT

The one I originally posted seems to be really upgradable, that's why I chose it.

My biggest suggestions:

CPU:
Intel i5 core
AMD Athalon II X4

GPU:
nVidia 400-series
Radeon 5000-series

Memory:
Have at least 4 GB of RAM

Follow this and FFXIV will run as good as you want it to, but obviously not with everything maxed out.

The second one you listed isnt to bad, but you will need a better gpu right away. Karari pretty much hit the nail on the head, follow that basically and you'll be fine.

If by "well" you mean max settings, then probably. I don't have anything like that, though, and I'm running the game at high settings and the graphics look great.

I'm so glad to get this reply. Truth is I already went ahead and bought an i5-650 but I don't know what graphics card to get with it. May I ask what you are running?

I have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX275. It's running the game quite well with no real lag (max textures/shadows, Depth of Field, high res). Turning on Ambient Occlusion looks great, but it seems to produce a slight lag in control responsiveness, so I left it off.

Your processor will likely help certain things, though.
