I have a friend who plays FF14 with the following hardware :
Windows XP
Intel dual core 2.8 ghz
geforce 220 gt (not sure )
2 go ram ddr2
Grafics are not wonderful but still playable and he really enjoys the game.
maybe you should try with what you've got et see ...

Well what I'm working with is an Intel with about 2.5 and NVidia 9600. Your specs actually make me really happy. I think I overspent then on my new comp, but it was still really cheap since I found amazing deals. Hopefully my new hardware will carry over for a long time
I just hope the internet connection will be able to hold

will ps3 and pc users be able to play together? I dont know how I feel about a ps3 controller playing an MMO, it feels limited :S

In fact, he is glad to be able to play with his config and he then plan to upgrage his PC on january during winter's sales.
Your 9600 series might be a bit short but you still can try it anyway.
And yes, both pc and PS3 players will play on the same servers .
