Nothing Loading 2-3 minutes to see a Marmot, <No thanks>

Allo,
I’m hoping to get some advise on how to improve my FFXIV experience. My computer specs are fine, since I have a better computer than LAW, but she is not having these problems. My issue is that it takes 2-3 minutes to load ANYTHING. During initial load up that’s OK, and even porting in on top of an aetherite is tolerable, but even if I’m running around outside in the world, I stand in an empty field and then a minute or two later mobs just appear next to me. I even died in the newbie level since I ran to the yellow dot, the mobs aggro’d, but I couldn’t see them to fight back. It was even worse when I tried to party. I couldn’t even see my party members for the longest time, and every mob was dead before they loaded up…
From comparison with LAW’s settings, I “should” be fine. My S and R are the same, sometimes a lot better, and I’m running it on the lowest of all setting for just about everything. I don’t have anything running in the background sucking up RAM either. Anyone else having these issues, or know how I might be able to fix them, otherwise this game is pretty much done for me since the purpose is to play with people, not just start at blank scenery watching their battle spam…

I had this exact thing myself. It often made me stand there for 2 minutes before it realised I had finished teleporting.
What fixed it for me seemed to be to turn the AA down from 8xQ to 2x.
Either that or it was in heavy populated areas.
But the AA was the other thing I did before it went away.

What is this AA anyway? I'll try that when I get home (@ work atm), but I'd like to know what it is I am actually doing so that if things get sideways, I can try and figure out why.
Thanks for the help either way

Try changing it to x2. Just to see : ) My game didnt have a problem wit 8xQ but suddenly it did. So I was wondering if a simple change might improve it.
Oh, I did nt use the graphic card settings. I use the games ones.
If not, I think it could be the game.

I have this exact same problem on my computer but I just assumed it was my terrible computer specs. I havent resolved this issue so I dont know what to tell you.
What resolution are running? I had to lower my resolution from my monitors max resolution so i could actually play the game a bit.
You could try lowering your resolution a bit if you running a high res. Thats really all I can think of to suggest. If that doesnt help at all, you can always wait and maybe when FFXIV is more optimized you wont get so much lag
. Sorry, dont really know what to do for this. Maybe someone else has some better suggestions.
FYI: AA = Anti-Aliasing
it makes the edges of the models smoother and less pixelated.

I just put my AA back up to 8Xq and it went the same way again. People and NPC took a while to actually be shown. I am running on 1080 with shadows on standard and textures on high and everything else off.
