Crafting Problems Constantly Failing but don't know why

As the title says i'm having major crafting problems and i'm tired of spending time gathering mats just to fail 9 out of 10 times.
I normally only use either the regular button or the wait button and occasionally when i'm trying to either get ahead on progress or give the last push to finishing before durablity wears out use rapid. Anyone else having a similar problem with more fails then successes?

you may be just trying to make items that are too high for your level. you usually need to be a couple of levels above an items level before you have a good chance of completing it.

So if your suppose to make items that are lower then your acutal level, do you just have to grind through the first 1-2 levels with alot of failures before you will start to be able to craft lvl 1 stuff??

I generally use local leves to get crafting experience as much as possible. They're ideal because the materials are supplied so there's no risk of losing hard-earned items if you fail. They also generally provide boosted skill gain.
Keep note that recipes that recommend a learned skill will be harder than those that don't (unless you have the skill). If it recommends a skill and you don't have it, you should be a few levels over the recommended rank to better your chances. Also some recipes recommend crafting facilities. If you aren't already using crafting support, I highly recommend it, as it improves chances of success for difficult synths.
Also, pay close attention to the color of the glowing orb while crafting. White is the most stable, and provides the highest success, while Yellow, Red, and Flashing have progressively less chances of success. If the color is Red or Flashing it may be a good idea to use the Wait command to get the color to change.
It sounds like you have a good grasp of how to use the general synthesis commands already, so keep doing what you're doing in that sense.

yeah before doing any of your own crafting do a couple of local level 1 leves for that craft that should get you to around level 4 or 5 without having to grind out those first few levels :)Inaaca is the source of all knowledge

Where would i find the crafting facillities in Gridenia? Right now i'm a weaver and goldsmith.

If you go to the market alleys in Eastern Gridania, the NPC that repairs your gear can give you basic crafting support for a small fee (say you want to repair your own gear). This should serve you well in most cases.
If you want (or the synth calls for) higher quality guild support, however, you will need to visit the headquarters of your corresponding craft. Both the Weavers and Goldsmithing guilds can be found in Uldah.
