I bought the GOTY recently, and it was full price. Then what does it do? It drops $20 not too long after

It's not your money anyway! If a game has been out for awhile and you see it at full price.. chances are the price will be cut at somepoint soon anyway so you should have just waited. don't let the price affect your enjoyment.
