I actually don't know about the matter.. I've been disconnected from almost all politics since I've been in Japan.
Last I knew, they've hated each other for ... well as long as I can remember.
What's the story?

Well, till the end of WWII Korea was governed by Japan, and after they lost the pacific war Korea got splitted in 2, one half was ocupied an suported by the sovjet (north) and the other by the allies (south) or something like that. And after that as they could not unite in a democratic way it kinda ended in war (i dont know if they still be suported by US and Sovjet/China).
But well, it seems some of those despotic politician's only way to keep their seat is by war (even if that war ended a while ago...)
I wish Korean people had a chance to have peace, but ofc protesting in North Korea about the actual state of things would not be healthy.... Its a shame.
Well, that's my opinion (i may be wrong, but never to late from learn from my mistakes. So I'm curious of what you guys think about it ^^)

I'm not talking about the two countries in general, but rather the fact that North Korea fired on South Korea a couple of weeks ago. How could anyone not know about this?
