haven't played since the last day of beta. We all know the game's problems so I won't list them here. My question is what's changed for the better and what is going to soon be changed for the better?

Your wording sounds as if it has rather negative undertones, but I hope that's not the case.

The biggest improvements for me? Much improved UI speed and searchable market wards.

pretty much the two things thats still keeping me away from the game is the questing system and the crafting system. What drove me insane about the questing system is that in some quests the devs would place a high level mob right in your path, with no way around it and you would have to wait for some other unlucky soul to happen by and aggro the thing so you can run past. All of this would have to happen within the time limit of the quest. what drove me insane about crafting is I would be crafting something that is skill level 1 or 5, while im 10, and failing the synthesis repeatedly, failing the quest that I'm on, or just having to farm the mats again. The failure rate was way too damn high for items that were beneath me. I really could have turned into the Angry German Kid trying to quest and craft in FF XIV.
please tell me these things are changing.

Yes, they are, but they haven't..
Well I can't say haven't.NM's have been added for some levs.
Quests still need work, crafting has been adjusted plenty and some people actually enjoy it.
Me I like to SP pt and leve link for nice SP.
As it is the game is worth playing for free, but not worth paying for imho.
Still needs a lot of work to be a pay to play competitor.
