Keeping with the analogy, it sounds like FFXIV has a menu that consists of ONLY CHICKEN NUGGETS! No sauce, no fries, no burger, no wrap, no shakes, no soda, just nuggets without sauce...

I hope that Iron Chef Morimoto is back in the kitchen whippin up some sauce and sides for us!
