Just tried out this game again after a few months, here are some thoughts...

What is the deal with this fatigue system?

Is there any random quests anywhere in Limsa? I have looked far and wide, and I find nothing. I can either grind xp endlessly with a fatigue system while I wait for the 36 hours to be up, or I can log out and not play. With how painful it is to just wander aimlessly and grind the same monsters over and over with getting less and less xp each kill... yeah... it might be better to just log off.

To futher up on that last question, I have walked every inch around the map outide limsa. I have been to all the tiny towns, I have been in every cave, I have every waypoint, yet I have found nothing whatsoever to do when I get to all theese places. Not even a tavern that sells useless food or a a fisherman by the water who sells live bait. Nothing. Someone please tell me that I am missing something here. Please...

Oh, and once an hour the 5 mins of excitement where 10 players do a behest and you get a few hundred xp and a crappy reward do not count...

Finally, whats the deal with all theese people doing tradeskills? I am Conj / Glad rank 18 each, and Physical Level 24. I have every single peice of gear over level 40. I have the best weapons for both classes I can find. I am at the stage of the game where I am buying stuff to just to see how it looks. I might have spent 3 Million Gil already on my character on random stuff. if it is that easy for me to get Gil by selling the tradeskillers crystals tell me again why I would even concider doing tradeskills myself? I literally have nothing left to work for.

The point I am trying to make is...

Am I missing something? is there really this little content? Is this game really long stretches of boring while you once every coupple of days get to play for real? Then, once every month or so you get to do a storyline quest? Is that all this is? Do I really have the best gear that I can possibly get? If there is some marginally better gear from some high level faction quest, will it even matter in the grand scheme of things? Is there really ZERO NPCs out in the countryside that are there for anything but flavor text and fluff? Is there really ZERO NPCs that send you out on quests outisde the adventurers guild? Sure I found some guy who told me that I needed the admirals permission to enter the cave in the centre of the map, but I guarentee you that the quest was from the guildhall...

So basically, is there really this little content? Is this game really all flash and no bang?

Please, sometone tell me I am missing something here... and I have been doing it all wrong for the time I have played this game... please...

sounds like little has changed since the launch of the game, but then again, eorzea was telling me yesterday with a previous post that this game still lacks content to really be happy with it. sounds like I'm still going to have to wait until the PS3 release IF it even gets to that point for the company to endure a final round of critic reviews.
