Anyone still playing knows that Ul'dah has become the central hub for most activities in FFXIV and that the other nations—Gridania and Limsa Lominsa—are suffering huge dips in population, activity, leve and behest participation, etc. Oh, and the market wards may as well not even exist in these places—99% of sales happen in Ul'dah.

Having everything in one city is nice, but seeing these other locations go to waste is a bit disheartening.

What will it take to revive Gridania and Limsa Lominsa? Is it too late at this point or can they still be saved?

Having people gathered in Uldah is kind of needed at the moment, since the population is so small.

If the population starts increasing again, though, I'm not sure if things will spread back out again on their own. It's kind of become XIV's version of Jeuno, which isn't so good considering the three are supposed to be on equal ground.

SE will need to make reasons for people to redisperse later on, I think.

It largely has to do with the popularity of close-by leveling areas. It wouldn't make sense to hang out in Limsa when you have to travel to Uldah region anyways to get to leveling.

So, Gridania and Limsa need better leveling areas. Gridania also needs a redesign. The maze of tunnels and paths of Gridania is not fun if it the entire map.

I think the leveling areas around Limsa Lominsa are just as good as the ones around Ul'dah, no? Bloodshore, Cassiopeia Hollow, Mistbeard Cove, etc. Those used to be the more popular places early on.

Anyway, it's just a shame to see so many areas go to waste.
