E3 2011 7th - 9th June.

E3 2011 will be held in Los Angeles from the 7th - 9th June 2011, meaning that the expo is almost upon us. Gamers everywhere will have their eyes firmly set on Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo to see what they have to deliver. There have been rumours circulating the web about Nintendo's next home console, "Project Cafe", as well as the renaming of Sony's NGP, "PlayStation Vita". Is there truth to any of these rumours?

It begins!

Microsoft

Opens with Modern Warfare 3. Submersible vehicles demonstration. Graphics have improved. A destroyed New York City is shown. Sense of scale has improved over previous games in the series. All DLC will be on Xbox first.

Demo of Tomb Raider is shown. Shows Lara bloody, battered and hanging upside down after being captured after a shipwreck on a Japanese island. She swings forth to escape, and falls and gets impaled. She pulls it out, blood. A man tries to grab her but she manages to escape. She grabs a torch and explores the cave. Wades through neck deep water. Survival vision highlights objects of use. She keeps hold of her wound as she moves around --- this is a big part of the game, injury. She manages to make it out alive.

Tiger Woods, Madden, FIFA. Four EA sports titles will have Kinect support, and will be used in Sims 3 Pets.

Mass Effect 3: Kinect Support, Voice recognition. You can speak the lines of dialogue instead of selecting them. You can also give commands this way. Cerberus mech arrives and the demo ends. More at the EA briefing.

In game trailer for Ghost Recon Future is shown. Revamped hub. They're demonstrating Gunsmith, the weapon customization mode in Future Soldier. You can completely disassemble weapons using Kinect or voice commands. Kinect can be used for shooting. Looks responsive. All future Tom Clancy titles will "leverage" Kinect.

New Xbox Dashboard for Kinect. They're showing the improved dashboard, and it looks like you can actually access your PC media libraries using kinect now. Youtube will be coming to Xbox Live. Xbox will be getting Bing. "xbox Bing". se voice controls to search for stuff. E.g "Xbox Bing Beyond Vana'diel" :P

Xbox Live recieving IPTV. Voice controlled DVR. Launches late this year.

UFC paay-per-view via Live.

Gears of War 3. Re-edited trailer. A thanks to Beta participants. Fights against huge beasts and mechs. Locusts are spawned from the beasts eye.

Codename Kingdoms, FPS Kinect title.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. It's Halo CE using the reach engine, along with "classic" MP maps on Xbox live. Co-op via Live. Launces 15th November.

Forza 4. Kinect powered gallery view. October 11th release date.

Fable: The Journey, coming 2012. Kinect powered...Trailer says "the age of heroes is over, so they must be made". Smoke monster is shown, and there is a carriage sequence in First Person. Graphics have improved a lot since Fable 3.
On rails section is shown as the player fights through hobbs. Spells aare gesture based.

Minecraft coming exclusively to 360 and Kinect. Release this winter.

Kinect Disneyland Adventures. They're showing peter pan's flight now - it's a trio of kids flying through a storybook sort of interpretation of the caves of neverland. Sword fight with captain hook. Coming this holiday exclusive to Kinect.;

Kinect Star wars. There's a pretty big variety of stuff - flying, podracing, lightsaber combat. Voice command to use lightsaber, "lightsaber on". On rails. a lot of lag swinging the lightsaber with Kinect. Ends on coming across two dual wielding siths.

Sesame Street. There's a family on stage to demo sesame street, which should tell you about the audience it's aimed at. Out the end of this year.

Kinect Fun labs -- live TODAY. User generated toys and content for Kinect, aand will be a permanent edition to the dashboard.

Kinect Me. Use the kinect to make an avatar that looks just like you. (3DS, annyone?)

3D drawing programme using Kinect FINGER tracking. 3D picture you can move around with your hands.

Object capture and scanning.

Kinect Sports Season 2: Baseball, skiing, golf, darts, football. Football and gold being shown. Voice control to change clubs in golf.

Dance Central 2. Features a campaign mode. It's two player, and also has voice controls. All songs from the first game can transfer over.

Wrapping things up..."Xbox will change entertainment forever" blah blah.


One last thing...

...Halo 4 trailer shown, Master Chief is shown. Comign holiday 2012. This will be the start of a new Halo Trilogy.

Ohh.. I must say I'm looking forward to E3 this year.. a few titles I have my eye one that I hope will make an appearence... Keep me filled in Kurisu~ as this is the only place I get gaming news from xD

Woohoo! E3 is more exciting than Christmas!

It's not about seeing more of games I already think are interesting.. no thanks. I love the Surprises, excitement, and of course the blunders in the press conferences!

As usual, I'll be watching every press conference in their entirety..


There are certainly a lot of interesting reveals in store for us this year, between Nintendo's new console, PSvita, and I'm wondering if Microsoft's gonna pull something out of their sleeve.

The thrills and spills of another E3 are soon upon us! And Nintendo's conference begins in 4 days! Can't wait!
