The first trailer for Guild Wars 2 premiered at GAMESCOM. You can see it at the official site:
http://www.guildwars2.com/

What do you think?
How do you like the graphics?

Personally, I think it looks really beautiful. Games these days are just so incredible compared to five+ years ago.

Did any of you play the first Guild Wars? I did. It was actually quite a lot of fun for a while, but it didn't keep me interested/addicted for near as long as FFXI.

i played the last one and will be playing GW2 aswell. It does look stunning they said it will be seamless aswell but it doesnt look like it will be.

I hope it will be a good game and the lvl cap is a bit higher this time because i found it got a bit boring when you had finished all the campaigns and had the best armor and about 7 lvl 20's

Yeah, one of the main reasons Guild Wars didn't keep me interested is because of the low level cap. I did enjoy capturing new skills and experimenting with different spell configurations, but even that got old after a while.

I really enjoyed the first GW. I had a lot of fun playing with my friends on there. But it also did hold my interest very long because of the low level cap. I might have to check the second one out when it comes out.

So, looking over the official site once more (as well as at the trailer), I must say that I am highly anticipating this game. Watch the newest trailer; they are going about everything perfectly. Their mindset is spot on in that they are gearing away from the typical quest. Instead of having NPCs tell you what is happening, events will simply unfold and it will be up to you to respond.

Just watching the trailer I can feel how epic this game is going to be. I hope FFXIV makes some drastic improvements or else it might lose me to this, heh. The original Guild Wars didn't hold a candle to FFXI, but in the case of GW2 and FFXIV it's appearing to be the opposite.
