Well I'm pretty excited about the pugilist class in FFXIV. my main job and first job i lvl'd to 75 was MNK in FFXI and i enjoyed it so much, but i did however get bored from time to time because of repeating actions. FFXIV sounds like it got rid of the boring times though with the active fighting styles. I Can't wait for FFXIV and hope to be as good of a pugilist in it as i was Monk in FFXI :)

Yeah, I think versatility is the name of the game in FFXIV. Should be interesting. :`

Pugilists look very intriguing and I like that they can throw a stun weapon at the monster before moving in to attack it.

I hope they wear armor similar to the monk, always loved their eastern garb! but since pugilists are more brawler than monk who knows, we might get some rather plain looking armor or casual looking. They should have some armor on the class section from screenshots.

Pugilist seems to be a combination of the Monk and Thief , i honestly hope its ends up being more of a Thief but i can only hope. As far as weaponry goes it looks like its obviously going towards the Monk side and i haven't yet heard or read of them using any other weapons. I personally would like to see some dual wielding daggers =)

Nah Pugilist is pretty much a term meant for a hand to hand combat fighter, check out the abilities the thief stuff isn't very prevalent. AND WE GET ASURAN FISTS YEAH BOY >:D

Looks like it so far ^_^ I wouldn't mind that either Saery, though the robe looks a little weird (the vermillion)

I never played FFXI, and I'm not far into this one, but so far the pug has drawn me in more than any of the other classes. I love the double hit with each of your basic attacks, it makes combat feel very fast paced, and the combo of light strike and concussive blow that early on is brutal. Also, considering the frequency with which you tend to evade as a pugilist, haymaker does monstrous damage for the puny 250 tp it costs. Lots of fun, I approve.

It was stated at some point in beta that pugilists got steal prior to rank 20. With a quick online search, it seems that SE has decided to save steal for another class.

Never made much sense why they got Steal anyhow ^^; seems they will be adding a thief type class then, sounds nice!
