I remember seeing Maat in Jeuno for my G1, and said to him. "I'm going to fight you some day."

Then again for G2, when I said "I'm getting closer old man!"

I beat Maat on my 7th try as a Beastmaster. The trip out to Terrigan was becoming unbearable to farm the Testimony, but on the 7th try it all clicked together and I beat him convincingly. On previous attempts I'd forgotten to equip a shield (normal sub job was ninja - doh!), forgot to wait for call beast recast, forgot opo opo necklace, forgot icarus wing etc etc. Ooooooh the pressure. Lots of fist pumping when I made it though.
