Beautiful trailer, don't you think? What are your thoughts?
How do you feel about the characters, voice acting, environments, battle system, etc.?
1UP played through the Japanese demo a little while back if you haven't seen it yet:

It's a bit linear and the "wow" factor is a little lacking; however, I'm sure the actual game will be great.
Discuss.

Yes, very beautiful. I haven't really bothered to find out much about the game yet, but this trailer looks nice and the characters seem interesting enough. I think most of the voice acting sounds good as well, but people will undoubtedly complain that "dubs suck" and if it's not in Japanese it must not be good.
What kind of story does this game have? It seems pretty interesting.
As long as it isn't another struggle against the empire I will be happy.

This is sort of how I feel.. The game looks fantastic, and I'm sure it will be, but for some reason I'm not really interested. I guess I could say that I know it should be good, so I'll pick it up and play it immediately.
Gotta admit though, that I just don't have the same kind of excitement for this game that I have for FFXIV.. XIII looks a little.. boring actually. Maybe it's the scifi world? Maybe it's that SquareEnix has released so many spinoffs and whatnot lately that I'm beginning to get turned off to it all?
In any case, I know it has the budget and talent behind it. Definitely will be checking it out right away.. I've been yearning for an RPG experience on PS3.

I feel very similar to you, Momotaru. The game looks great, but my level of interest is nowhere near that of Final Fantasy XIV. I can't quite explain why, but the reasons are very similar to what you've written. It's a Final Fantasy game, so of course it will be good and I will pick it up for the Xbox 360* immediately, but I'm just not that hyped about it. Hopefully that will change once I actually start playing the game.
* I have no intention of buying a PS3 in the foreseeable future.

Idk, i like the trailer it looks very pretty and interesting, and i like the theme it seems to be showing us. But i have to be one of those people who doesnt like the dubs lol. The voices theirselves are fine, but theres this 'drama actor' tone you can hear all the time from them as they obviously try to hard to sound urgent or like Clint Eastwood or something :/ and its another voice dub where girls who are meant to be talking valiantly sound too light and fragile.

Whether one cares for dubs or not, i think the fact is that the original experience is in Japanese. Translating the words to English for dialogue and subtitles is already a potential short step toward misdirection, but adding foreign voice actors is even straying further.. But a great translation and dubbing is still possible.
Personally, I'm hoping for a Japanese track, as the blu-ray disc could surely handle it. And while I accept that dubbing is necessary for some people to enjoy the experience, I still think it's kind of silly for foreigners obsessed with anime and japanese products to settle for a foreign dub... but that's just me :)
Ah, and for the sake of discussion, the truth about even Japanese anime, though, is that there seems to be a small circle of voice actors who do the voice for EVERYTHING.. just like in American dub companies. I can't tell you how many times I've heard the GTO guy's voice in other animations. It's almost gotten to a point where it's an instant turn off because I've heard it so many times before. For a Final Fantasy game, I expect a higher level of Voice actor quality than a typical anime, though.
