In Japan...

  • Eating Christmas cake is one of their biggest traditions.
I always find this one a bit odd. Cake is usually reserved for birthdays/parties/etc., but Christmas?
  • People generally spend Christmas with their lovers as opposed to family.
This doesn't apply to children, of course!
  • Santa puts presents beside children's pillows.
  • People rarely have real Christmas trees or Christmas lights in their houses. The only trees and lights (or "illuminations" as they like to call them) you're likely to find are at/around the big shopping centers.
  • Snowmen are made of two balls of snow, not three.

Cool! I only knew a couple of those, including the snowmen, which I think I first noticed with Mario 64.
