I'm not really sure how, but let's do what we can to bring some more activity to this place! For example, using places like StumbleUpon and Digg would be a good start... and telling our friends is always a good option!
One of the easiest things we can do is start more threads!
Oh! And linking to the site in our forum signatures at other gaming sites we participate at. That no doubt helps as well!
But DON'T make threads at other sites just to spam this site's link... it will likely piss people off more than help. Keep it casual... link to sections of the site with useful information when people ask for it... that kind of thing.
Those are just some ideas I had. Please add to the list and let's do what we can to help spread the word! I want to see this place do well.

Every time I tried to enter the site, I was redirected to another site entirely.. I cliked on ff14site.com link in yahoo search results, and I was taken to Gametrailers.com .. What the heck? There was also some generic gaming site I was being routed to.. I couldn't get in! I had to open an old email and click on the direct link from Eorzea to enter the site.
I didn't have this problem on my own computer, from yahoo.. So I'm not sure if it was some odd occurrence, or if many others are experiencing this too. I don't know how to explain it, but I swear clicking on search result links FOR THIS SITE, was routing me to completely different websites.

Hopefully the new forum software will help, yes.
Momotaru, I have no idea. My guess is that it was some freak incident or that the link wasn't really to ff14site but instead had ff14site.com written in one of GameTrailers.com comment sections and was therefore picked up by the search engine. :msnconfused:

I'll have to check it out again when I'm over there.

Telling people you know in real life who are interested in FF(XIV) would work especially well (as was already suggested).

As it is, I hope to restructure things eventually and put less of an emphasis on the database (at least until things are more set in stone).
For now... new threads go a long ways. People tend to be reluctant to create new threads, but when someone else does they usually respond.
And yeah, social networking helps. Join our Facebook page, follow us on Twitter, etc. Adding one of our banners in your forum signatures elsewhere is also beneficial.
