Would you believe it? I'm ready to start the transition and now the forum software's official site is undergoing maintenance and I can't download the conversion script. :msnlaugh: It's funny but torturous!
Hopefully they'll be back up shortly and I can get things moving.

Quite a frustrating and disappointing night. There's an error with the conversion and both my host and the developers of the forum software insist it's not on their end. Still trying to get down to the bottom of this; I've been at it for about four hours now.

OK, another update!
I believe all of the kinks have been worked out and I should be able to make the transfer at any time. I had actually already transferred things part of the way before realizing that there were some other things that needed to be taken care of first. I need a little more time to get used to things as well and to come up with a functional main page (I'm opting not to use the default main page that comes with the software for reasons that would bore you ;)). I warn you now, though, the main page will be bland at first.
Anyway, the weekend's right around the corner, so it shouldn't be long now. Feel free to keep active around the site in the meantime... your posts will be safe! I rearranged the forum sections a bit as well if you've yet to notice.

That's good news, Eorzea, I'm glad to see things are coming along nicely now. I have a strange vision of the site upgrade containing blue colours... maybe it's just me? :msnlaugh:
