So, I broke off a little piece... stuck it in my mouth... and...
"Hey, this isn't so bad," I thought.
I took a bigger bite and SURPRISE, it actually tasted pretty goodI couldn't believe it! It didn't taste fishy at all; it was kind of like a mix of chicken and pork. :msnlaugh: I can't really explain it, but it wasn't at all like I had expected.

Here's an article from TIME for further reading about eating whale in Japan:

I can't believe they served whale patties.. What's wrong with Chicken patties.. Because we happen to already have slaughter house factories for Chicken and many other animals. That's very telling when Whale Patties are available at a school lunch, unless a whale washed up on shore that morning, they're going out there and murdering them in masses.
I don't condemn you for trying it, but it's extremely disheartening to see humans kill and eat animals of high intelligence. Part of being human, I think, is that we don't need to rely on animalistic behavior found in nature. There's no reason we couldn't have an advanced vegetarian diet, instead of taking species hostage so that they're only reason for existence is to feed us. It's barbaric, and I want to say "we're beyond it", but we're clearly we aren't. There's no way we're getting off this rock before we destroy it.

mmm human, sweet succulent human... Are you sure what you ate was actually whale? I had heard that the hunting of whales in japan was prohibited. While i'm not particularly for or against it I have taken several courses on biology and bio ecology for my science credits and have learned that I hate nature.

I did a brief search from what I remember on going over the topic of whaling and this really is interesting. While it was banned they *study* the whales, and then sell them when there done. A bit dirty but that shows what human greed and a good lawyer can do.

Went on date last Friday, and she ordered raw whale for me to try. I tried to not eat it but its really really impolite to deny food straight up like that here.

I hear shark is tasty, and I would eat shark just because they don't have a problem taking a bite out of us! Well I guess the same can be said about some whales too.. Hmmm...
