To those of you anxiously awaiting every little piece of information you can get your hands on regarding Final Fantasy XIV, I'm sure we can concur that it has been a rather dull week since the excitement of VanaFest little over a week ago:

The Final Fantasy XIV alpha/beta test site is set to go live on March 11!

It's hard to get over the excitement of that announcement.

For some, those first steps into FFXIV are only days away; for others it seems like a lifetime. It should be noted that the number of people lucky enough to get an invite is very small, so don't worry about it too much. Everyone will get their chance!

Bitter about not being chosen? Would you have gone about choosing alpha/beta participants differently? Let us know!

I figured a good way to keep sane is to finally play through FF12, so I am doing so on my old ps2. My ps2 has only been used for Silent Hill 2, FFVII, FFXI, and only now FFXII lol. And so, life goes on pre-beta.

Thanks for making this thread, Eorzea. I'll go and check out those threads, as I may have missed some interesting things! Such as the Bestiary section, I don't think I have looked at that yet.

I'm sure it won't be long before people leak their FFXIV footage on to youtube...embargos and NDA's don't mean anything to some people! So you never know, we may be getting some new footage sometime soon!

In the meantime, though...it's FFXIII time! I'll be purchasing the game tomorrow, and I can't wait.
