Xbox 360 Commercial Err... not so impressed!

I've got to say, I'm really unimpressed at how this is put together. It doesn't make me think "OMG, I HAVE TO PLAY THIS!" at all.

Very poorly done in my opinion.

Yea, this isn't the best advert in the world, is it. Of course if this advertised the PS3 version of the game then it would instantly be a lot better! Sorry, I'm annoyed that Microsoft have exclusive advertising rights for the game.

I seen the UK advert last Friday, when I was watching Lost. All the footage shown was CG, and it was all full screen. It didn't do that stuff with the little squares making up Lightnings face, but again it advertised Microsoft and the 360. I've tried looking for it on youtube so I can post it in this thread, but nobody seems to have put it up (and the one that is up saying 'UK advert' isn't the one that was shown).

I recieved an email from Square Enix detailing tomorrows launch events at London, and there is an image of Leona Lewis holding a 360 controller...

Bah,

/PS3 fanboyism.

The commercial just seemed to dry when I watched it. Just not enough effort to grab the viewers attention and say "Buy me!" It will be interesting to see the PS3 Versus commercial when Sony's turn comes around.

I kind of lost hope for this game. After porting it and taking forever I was like meh. We will see what happens.

Terrible. The problem is, there's no room for this kind of product in mainstream USA.
.. Which is one reason why they tried to substitute the theme song with something else entirely.. something less Japanese. They're not just trying to sell a very Japanese product in the US, they're trying to make it appear as if it was made for the US.


It's such a horrible mix.. these advertisers really don't have a clue what they should be doing with this product, which while immensely popular, doesn't fit in at all with our culture.


Just another example of a game that appeals directly to a very specific audience, but it marketed to someone else entirely.


Just imagine an old US citizen watching this game.. they'd probably have this stupified look on their face and not understand it at all.. You all know exactly what I'm talking about. You know, when you're watching anime, even anime on tv, and an adult steps in and catches a few minutes of it... they're completely dumbfounded. They weren't built to respond to such a thing. It's hilarious, and simultaneously pathetic.

Just seen the UK advert about 30 minutes ago (Glee <3) and I actually liked it, though it doesn't show any ingame footage... Like Kurisu, i tried and failed at finding it on youtube =[


This advert however... yeah, it sucks and doesn't have the umph! it really should have...

mmmm I've seen the FFXIII advert here in England and I was like "MUM DAD LOOK IT'S ON THE TV I'M GETTING THAT GAME!!!" at this sort of outburst of mine with other adverts for games i'm getting they would look at the tv and watch the advert and be like "thats cool looks very good indeed"

But I have to say the FFXIII advert did nothing of the sort they just watched it and said "intresting" no wow look at the CGI like my dad would normally say afterwards...

The advert didn't impress me let alone my parents...whats the world comming to...if I knew nothing about FFXIII I have to say watching that advert i'd be like "don't look that great i'll wait till Game have it for pre owned"

But luckly I knoew about the game so excited anyway hahaha :onion129: <----Quinny hehehehe
