The VanaFest trailer said something along the lines of "Let's give our Bard something to sing about," so I think it's a pretty safe assumption that Bards will be making an appearance. Though they aren't really a "magic" discipline, my point is that I don't think we've seen everything yet. Far from it!

I think there's something magical about songs that give you great strength!

"Its not an MMO unless there is a bard."
and i think that is a very true statment you need a heavy support focused role.

I'm really digging the battle diagrams... especially this one...

...it really gives us an idea of how we will be expected to position ourselves during battle.
I agree, I like this diagram a lot. Although I like to party in smaller groups, this still gives it a good party aspect feeling. Although, A part of 2 or 3 seems to be up my alley. Since I'm planning on being a long distance discipline (Archer for now unless some sort of gunman class is announced) it would be nice to play with one of the close range, or fighter class and one mid-range magic class. I know, I'm a coward, but at least that's one less person to heal.

I really think from more of the AoE stuff, we're going to see more fights against 2-3 monsters. I really like how FFXIV's party dynamic's are shaping up, especially if mobs are going to be roaming together in party like settings. They had one area in FFXI where the mobs worked as a team, and it was fun to try and work with that.
I really liked some of the gear, and just the over all feel of the game is looking nice.

I want a whole box of them!.. and a second, back up, box, in case something were to happen to the first!
From the new info, I'm liking Lancer and Marauder more than I would have imagined..
At the same time, Miner just seems like a man's job.. I wanna get dirty and work it!
Ah.. it all looks like so much fun!

These are in even higher quality than all previous magazine scans, too! The height on all previous scans was 1200 pixels, but the height on these is 2000 pixels.
Enjoy!

Lancer - Dark Knight with a Polearm and no Black Magic
Marauder - Warrior without Provoke
Pugilist - Thief with claws and Provoke
Archer - Ranger
Conjurer - Black Mage AND White Mage.
Thaumatuge - No real FFXI counterpart. Seems more like a mage devoted to Darkness. Abilities which sacrifice HP, no elemental nukes, Corpse Aspir, Drain, Gravity. A Dark Knight devoted to magic, or a Black Mage devoted to darkness would be the closest FFXi counterpart.

Side effects may include: dry mouth, nausea, painful rectal itch, hallucination, and death.
Summoning is not for everyone. Consult your doctor before use.

Thanks, Eorzea, for the awesome scans! It's too bad Rikaichan can't quickly translate that for us.... Or... can it? Haha, well not quickly... Hm..... No..no.. It wouldn't be so simple.

Anyone else notice how... the Conjurer's and Thaumatuge's "magic" was listed as a weaponskill?
It definitely shows that how we used certain things is going to be different. It also means a weaponskill is going to be a lot different from what it was in FFXI.
Does it also mean we'll have to learn the skills from a certain weapon, similar to tactic's like we've been speculating? Does it also mean we'll have lost MP all together? I'm really wondering how they are working party dynamic's... It seems it's going to be a lot more different as they've been saying, but nothing like I imagined...
