I just wanted to make that joke really, but the Miner class does seem interesting.
One thing that was said was "For example, a Blacksmith may get an ability that enfeebles a gold-based enemy or one that increases the chances of having treasure drop."
I wonder if that pick axe could be of any use too? What other things do you think we'll see or you'd like to see from this class?

Alas I haven't read anything about the blacksmith class yet so I can't actually comment on that at the moment, I just had to tell you that joke was awersome. I will read up about blacksmith though and I come back to this topic and add my little thoughts on the matter

I haven't really read up about many of the classes yet, but I will do. If the miner really could enfeeble enemies then that would make them a bit more helpful, rather than just being used for out-of-battle purposes. But you said "gold based enemies". Do they even exist?

I doubt Miners will be in the front lines as primary damage dealers any time soon, but still...

you can actually have a blacksmith in your fighting party??...why can't they just have on the pugilist like they had on thiefs TH+1 TH+2 to increase rare drops...as far as I can remember I had TH+2...I think you could get up to +3 but that was with a knife that cost over 1mill...like i was going to buy that so I could be used as a drop wh**e..no thanks lol or you could get up to TH+4 and I had TH+3...I just remember I had 1 away from the highest TH you could get because I wouldn't spend 1 mill on a knife
apart from he gets you good loot maybe and he gives a slight advantage against metal type enemies like Chillvan said...what use is he? what he's going to pick axe the mob to death..
or do you think he would have axe skills...he uses a pick"AXE" so why can't he use other axes and be a cool blacksmith..just my thought on the matter

As far as their role in combat, released information is very limited. I'm not sure how it's going to shape up to be, other than that they will never be as competent in combat as a War/Magic class.
Interesting speculation, though. I wouldn't mind seeing some of that applied to the game.
