Check out the following picture.

The sky is raining fire!

What do you think it is?

  • After effects from a battle in the sky?
  • Fireworks?
  • Meteors?

Just a little fun speculation. ;)

Well, we saw a war in some of the first CS's they released... perhaps this is some of the character's seeing the war start, similar to how FFXI showed a war. It looks like the three and the chocobo from that one picture as they look over a cliff... I can't seem to find the picture, if anyone else knows it...

It's in our Images section at the bottom:

But yeah, it's likely an air battle taking place above the clouds. Who knows, though! :D

It's not those three, it's the three that are in the battle against the Morbol.

Maybe those fireballs are the ejected spawn of that enormous red battleship/monster.
:msnpuke:

edit: er, it is those three.. or, two rather, plus one Lalafell.

This picture actually reminds me of a scene from Winnie the Pooh when they all run to the top of the hill to watch the sky. Does anyone remember that episode while growing up? I loved that show.

I have no idea how this pic reminded you of that episode of Poo... Even though I slightly remember that episode...

As for the pic. I think it looks really cool. It could be remnants of a battle that went on above, or just a feat from nature. Meteor shower, which would be cool to see every now and then in game. I think that is the most likely. But I know my character, being the amazing Archer that he will be... Those are really arrows I shot into the sky, that will all hit there targets dead on, and I'll gain a billion xp in a matter of seconds... Putting aside the fact that there may not be Experience Points in this game...

Haha, yes, I've seen it. But I also remember that scene is featured in the show's intro.
This must be one of the only times Eeyore has ever shared his happiness.

That really was a great show :msncry:

It's not nostalgia, cartoons were really so much better 10-20 years ago..

Based on the pictures, I think you are looking at the handiwork of this guy:
The Dragon!

Seems those streaks of fire might be chunks of the building/airship/whatever he is destroying or maybe just cinders raining down from his fire breath!?!
