{I'm back!}
{/welcome}
Continuing further upon the foundation already built, new tracks have been added to Project Soul Voice.
A number of tidbits for you to take into account:
Each new update to Project Soul Voice will be included in a different thread, but the "mother page" will contain all songs. I receive notifications for each thread's replies, so feel free to cross-pollenate comments about songs throughout. Also, please encourage your friends to check out Beyond Vana'diel if you think they would enjoy this content, and get them to sign up while you are at it!
Requests and comments are still taken into consideration as long as they are done through the appropriate threads (and possibly future subform) here in the Site Exclusives section.
Allow me to introduce these new songs:
From Final Fantasy XIV:
LOOKING BACK
I was really pleased to hear the inclusion of this song in the long list of tracks for Final Fantasy XIV. First written in 1986, this work has rung out true for upwards of 90 million copies of different entries in the Final Fantasy franchise, and does so again for a new generation of Eorzean explorers.
DISCIPLES
A subtle progressive track dedicated to the excitement of the three letter abbreviations both present and future. One of the idle themes featured on the Final Fantasy XIV website, and just another reason to be excited for the days to come.
From Final Fantasy XI:
OBLIVIOUS
A melancholy song which actually stands for remote fear of the unknown. It is only after several years of Chains of Promathia being out that Square Enix lifts the magical veil that cursed entrants of Promyvion to dismal power limitations. However, regardless of how equipped one is for the situation, this melody will most likely haunt the typical adventurer.
From Final Fantasy XIII:
PROMISE KEEPER
My vocal debut! This song is an amalgamation of "Promise" and "Serah's Theme" using techniques like sampling and arpeggiation. Aiming for a hybrid of the game's styles, I provided all of the vocals myself. The goal was to reproduce the breathy style of electronica featured in a good half of the lyrical numbers from the source material.
This project is known as
Project Soul Voice

I'd say your vocal debut is a success! "Promise Keeper" really stands out this time. In fact, I can't stop listening to it at the moment. Great job.
"Disciples" and "Oblivious" are my next favorites, followed by "Looking Back." Really, though, I enjoy all four of them.
Nice descriptions for each song, too!

You're so talented!
I think my favorite is Disciples, but once again, I love them all.
Nice work!!

All four tracks were great, but my personal favorites are: "Oblivious" and "Looking Back".
I absolutely love the twist you've given the Promyvion theme, fantastic! This was a favorite of mine from when I played FFXI; it always encouraged me to help other players with Promyvions.
"Looking Back" almost sounds like a chocobo theme with the drum beat (after the disc scratches), another brilliant twist to an already amazing theme.
Not forgetting "Promise Keeper", you're vocals were great in this song. It works extremely well, the male equivalent to Serah's theme. I can't stop saying it; brilliant!
I've already listened to them over and over already and I'll definitely be adding these to my iPod as well.
Thanks for sharing your work, Luso. Looking forward to what you bring us next.

Anticipation was my favorite from the first batch, looped it while doing writeups for Val and it really got me into the fantasy mood. The style of Horizon reminds me a bit of music from SMT/Persona.
Also, what a nice name for this project! I'm looking forward to whatever you do next.
A little soul for a little bears up this corpse which is man.

That's so weird, I coulda' sworn I had submitted a full reply at least four or so days ago!
Alright, testing... testing... Is this thing on?
First off I want to thank everyone for their kind words! Appreciative interaction is the foundation of community art! Rhetoric aside, I too am pleased with how these tracks came out.
You may notice that I said recently that there would be a heavier emphasis on Final Fantasy XI, but then there were all these suprises! It wasn't a bait-and-switch, I just happened to be divinely inspired along the way and these tracks were the ones completed first.
To answer SPECIFIC questions:
@Hydaelyn: Yes, I provided all the vocals. There's a lot of joke outtakes I have, and I lost my voice twice in four days trying to get all that right. I intend to do more vocal pieces in the future based on current Final Fantasy tracks you would be familiar with, but I am not committing myself to anything yet.
@Panda: Yes, it was meant to catch you by surprise. The track itself was my way of "having fun", but the overall sound of it makes it listenable more than just a few times to appreciate the surprise-factor. Glad it smoothed over well!
~Back to General Stuff~
I've been fairly busy lately (in the middle of law school finals week), but I will have work available again in May. I'm also going to tinker around with some Mega Man 10 stuff on the side that I'll be using to update my personal website,
http://www.pharaohatem.com
I have a number of tracks which appear there (100+) that you might want to check out, ranging from Final Fantasy to other various source materials, as well as original tracks.
I apologize for whatever technical difficulty kept my response from going through last time.
