- It's a more respectful than the country I live in.
- .. more organized ..
- .. cleaner environment ..
- .. very little crime ..
- .. technologically superior ..
- .. healthier ..
- .. retains a rich heritage and culture ..
- .. not obsessed with religion ..
Of course I also loves games and enjoy the thought of a whole country with people more interested in things still deemed childish or strange in America (gaming, manga, etc), but it's not a paradise.
Still, other than the fact that I'm a foreigner, (hah, this could be a problem) I feel like I would fit in much better in Japan than in my home country.

Should you ever come here long term (two years or more), there will undoubtedly be some small things that annoy you and/or cultural difference you can't quite understand/accept, but I imagine that would also be the case in just about any foreign country.
I will make a thread on these things at a later date.
The fact that you're a foreigner may get you some stares and (at times) unwanted attention, but you should fit in just fine. Or well enough, anyway. And there are always some other foreigners to be found should you need a friend or simply wish to converse in proper English.
