After what has felt like an eternity of waiting for some sort of new Final Fantasy XIV information, this week's Weekly Famitsu will include a seven-page spread about Final Fantasy XIV's world map (which seems heavily influenced by Africa), the three main city-states, various locations found within the city-state of Limsa Lominsa and six of the game's guilds.

Higher quality scans (as well as a more detailed translation) will be posted as soon as we are able to get our hands on a copy of the magazine. Please enjoy these lower quality scans in the meantime and feel free to share any additional information/translations you come across:

Yes! Finally some new information! Well... some pictures anyway... I can't wait for the big scans and translated information. You can see some of the official guild logos on the last three pages.

I'm happy they finally released an official map.

Alright... they know we all know about this gunner class... when are they going to reveal it officially! I wanna know what it will be called =[ I hope that info is revealed in the next bout of updates...

The gunner class is in this article, Val. You can see the class/guild icon in the fourth image. Rough translations that I've seen around have already labeled it Muskateer.

Yes, there is a lot of information floating around out there (as well as guild emblems ripped from the alpha test), but it's always good to have stuff confirmed officially.

I'll check for this magazine on my way home today, but most likely it won't be available in my area until tomorrow (Friday) and I'm not yet sure whether or not I'll be coming home before heading out that night. Anyway, expect the high quality full-page scans sometime within the next... 48 hours? It could be much sooner, though.

The article was printed on lower quality paper than usual and some of the pages weren't very straight. In other words, this took quite a lot of work to scan properly.
