Jobs and the Armoury system
Sep 28, 2011 - 5:26 PM
So, I'm very confused about the Jobs that are going to be implemented in to Final Fantasy XIV at some point down the line! I know that Physical levels are due to be abolished and classes are going to have individual levels rather than having ranks. But how will each of the classes work with the armoury system? Surely it will break it? -
How to download the Final Fantasy Type-0 demo
Aug 14, 2011 - 4:25 AM
Well the Final Fantasy type-0 demo was released a few days ago, and I love it. I know there are other people here (Val!) that would like to try it, too. There are two ways to download it. The first way is through the Japanese PlayStation store. I can't help you with that. But I can help you download the demo to your computer, and transfer it to the PSP. To do this, click the link below.
I AM THE LINK TO THE DEMO! You can play as Ace, King, Queen, Sice, Nine, Rem and Machina.
Once it finishes downloading look for the file in your computers download files. It will be the reishiki/natsubi. Click in to the various folders until you get to the file starting with "NJPH".
Connect your PSP via a USB, and copy the NJPH file in to the "GAME" section of your PSP. To do this double click on "PSP", and then double click on "GAME". Paste the file in to that section.
And there you have it. -
FFXIII-2 Release Window Announced
Jul 20, 2011 - 3:02 PM
A member of staff from Square Enix, Emily, announced on her Twitter that Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be launching in January in North America. Presumably the game will be launching in Europe around the same time, as was the story for the original game.

Also below are some gameplay trailers from E3 2011 showing off some of the games new features: Mog Clock (instead of being aware of enemies on screen they randomly appear on screen, and you have time to get a pre-emptive strike), Live Trigger (option to choose what you want to do) and the slightly revamped battle system where you can recruit monsters to your party. You can also see that the maps are now much more open. The second trailer shows the first fight with Atlus, where Cinematic Action is introduced. This is basically on screen prompts that occur in battle which can effect the flow of the fight.

FFXI Goes Portable!*
Jul 13, 2011 - 4:06 AM
(*Well, it's under discussion. Read on below!)
Quote
As part of the general Square Enix feature, Famitsu interviewed Final Fantasy XI producer (?) Hiromichi Tanaka. Tanaka said that they're investigating a straight port of Final Fantasy XI to the PlayStation Vita, but there's no solid plan for this at present.
Source
If Square Enix do go ahead with this then I will be pretty excited. I always wanted to try FFXI but I never got around to it because FFXI (PS2) and the PS2 HDD never released in the UK, and I'm not a fan of PC gaming. Releasing on the Vita would mean that I have a dedicated access point to the game, and always on connection (providing I'm in a wi-fi area).
Does this news excite anyone?
