I was really pleased to hear the inclusion of this song in the long list of tracks for Final Fantasy XIV. First written in 1986, this work has rung out true for upwards of 90 million copies of different entries in the Final Fantasy franchise, and does so again for a new generation of Eorzean explorers.

Apotheosis is a word of Greek origin which refers to the idea of "an individual transformed to a god-like status," which is how we will all feel when we get to Lv. 99.

After uncovering recent pages of the Crystal War's vast history, adventurers have come to realize that the Royal Army of San d'Oria was one of the most instrumental forces in the Allied Force's movement towards plowing their way into the Kindred's stronghold. The battle cry "Fiat Lux," meaning "Let there be light!" might well have been the last words the Shadow Lord ever heard.

The requirement to walk on foot through all of the old areas reacquainted fellows with the likes of areas they may not have traveled to in quite some time. A melancholy song which actually stands for remote fear of the unknown. It is only after several years of Chains of Promathia being out that Square Enix lifts the magical veil that cursed entrants of Promyvion to dismal power limitations. However, regardless of how equipped one is for the situation, this melody will most likely haunt the typical adventurer.

I hope this song does not strike you as the "Late To Campaigns Near Windurst" theme song. Being a loyal member of the Federation past and present, this theme is one of two associated with memorable characters like Lehko Habhoka and Robel-Akbel. This is my second rendition of the song, but also one of my personal favorite tracks in a long time. I hope you can enjoy it all the same, be you Windurstian or otherwise.

My vocal debut! This song is an amalgamation of "Promise" and "Serah's Theme" using techniques like sampling and arpeggiation. Aiming for a hybrid of the game's styles, I provided all of the vocals myself. The goal was to reproduce the breathy style of electronica featured in a good half of the lyrical numbers from the source material.
